Love his movies...Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, etc.....but Death Proof sucked. The DVD case said, "the most memorable movie quotes ever!" What?????? Should I rent Planet Terror when it comes out....I know Robert Rodriquez actually made it....not Tarantino

I also love Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction and for some reason I didn't see these movies(Death Proof and Planet Terror) in the theater but rather waited for the dvd. I guess it was instinct that it wasn't going to be that good. I think Quentin is stuck in the 70's. Don't get me wrong, I love the 70's but Quentin makes most of his movies, all of his movies actually, with some reference to the 70's. I didn't like the movie much. It moved very slow and when it was starting to get good, it was over. I like the cars he used in the movie and the car chase but really, this was the only good part of the movie.

I like Tarentino, but Planet Terror is indeed *much* better than Death Proof.

Everyone needs a flop to straighten out their attitude; I have the feeling that Quentin began believing his own press and admirers about how great he is. I suspect his next project will be back to his usual level of professionalism.

At this point, Robert is a better director than Quentin. Even Eli is closing in on Quentin...which is not a bad thing, mind you.

Too much talking and nothing worth listening to in Death Proof for me.

The action scenes towards the end part where the girls get revenge on Stuntman Mike are the only parts of the movie that interested me, and they were funny.

and two of these four guys do. http://my.spill.com/video/video/show?id=947994%3AVideo%3A992 But the truth is, Carlyle and Leon, the guys who thought Death Proof was better have a horrible taste in movies. So I've heard Planet Terror was better.
