No, because the nintendo wifi is only used for the DS or for the Wii. It enables you to use both of the consoles' internet capablities. The wifi capibilities of the DS, especially, are very limited because it requires an access point to use the wifi features of its games. Which means, you cannot just hook up to any wireless signal out there, unless it's a specific McDonals [and even then, it doesn't work at all McDonalds' places]. As for the Wii, it just allows you to go cordless. You don't have to plug in a cord to it, but you can just use a the nintendo wifi connector.

However, this does not make your laptop faster. All it does is allow for wireless internet usage by your consoles. That is all.
