I would wait till my child is atleast a year old. I'm learning more and more about shots messing up child development. You should research on google. I don't take a flu shot. They scare me.

I haven't read anything about it, but I would not like to give my kids anything that had more risk than the by-product of not having it.
flu is very rarely a life threateninig condition and indeed, I know f very few people who have had a true case - e.g. when it was really just a really bad cold or a bug...
were we in the grip of serious bird flu, then I might consider it, for example, but at the moment, I think colds and the like are an inevitable part of life and a vaccination is unnecessary.
If you are still breastfeeding, it is also unnecessary.
I have my kids get the usual shots for the 'biggies' e.g. mumps, measles, hepatitis, meningitis etc as they have higher death rates than the flu.

My son just went in for his 9 month check up and I got him a flu shot. He hasnt been sick so far so Im hoping this will keep him from getting the flu. I was kind of worried about it but I did it cause I want him to be healthy.....

My daughter is 6 months old and I got her the flu shot this year. She goes back for the second on the 26th. She is in a large daycare center for 12 hours a week, so it was a good idea for us. Plus, she has a 4 year old brother who will bring home every germ.
We did it to keep her healthier...but it is a personal choice.

Why? I think its a bad idea. Kids are resilient and can fight off a flu
