Convert the mixed numbers to improper fractions. Then multiply them together as you would with any other fraction. Write the result as a mixed number.

5 2/3 * 2 3/4
17/3 * 11/4
(17*11) / (3*4)
187 / 12
15 7/12

You have to make them improper fractions:

17/3 times 11/4
17 times 11 = 187
3 time 4 = 12
