I "dreamt" that there was a figure in a black hooded cape in my bedroom.

The hood was over his head, but I could see his face. It was a man, gray face, with his lower jaw sticking out a little. The cape covered him completely to his feet, and I did not see his hands (the arms seemed to be inside the cape). He was standing with his heels touching, but toes pointing in opposite ways.

He was staring at the wall to my left (he was to my right), and being half-asleep, I asked him, "Devil or Death?" He was obviously shocked that I had addressed him directly, but answered, "No one." I then said, "That's fine. Just don't do me any harm, please." I then turned my back to him and went back to "sleep".

I've never been so happy to have a scapular under my pillow. It was very weird, but I wasn't scared, more curious. Until I recalled the dream when I woke up the next day. Help?

I am a Roman Catholic. I don't participate in anything pagan or Satanic, never have.

I'd classify it if it were a particular demon, Shax, or any of the legion of demons that controls a person under hypnotic and dreamlike control. I don't necissarily think it was a demon you were dreaming of, not even a malevolent being. Maybe its just a dream, sometimes we all have those wird dreams. But no, I study demonology and I haven't come across to many demons with hoods on their heads, maybe two but thats it. Hope I could help!

Demonology is a part of the Applied Mantic Arts and Sciences, a secular study and work in the investigation of certain occurrences and experiences that some people find themselves affected by, and which have to do with the realm just askew of our own third dimension; say, a lateral realm more than a plane above us.

It is 'not' the practice and "dabbling" in the dark arts but rather analogous to private investigation, is closest one would come to defining it. It is indeed both a real and rare field of endeavor. Do bear in mind: for everything that exists to our known understanding, there its complementary unknown. And! Most of life as we 'believe' we know it 'is' unknown.

Demonologists attempt to get to the source of certain occurrences, which plague certain individuals or "places" such as those known of in Scotland. Some practitioners may have extra sensory abilities, such as psychism, but many do not -- but in any case they 'can' indeed take on these abilities given the experiences that many undergo or find they have to, constrained to develop the perceptions and sensory capabilities in order to succeed: there is a learning curve to anything sought to learn or master.

One adopts certain qualities amid experiences with things, not unlike developing callouses when handling rough-hewn objects over time. In other words, adaptations you do develop; you acclimate.

Skill development in demonology is no different a process, though is it scarcely a field that many would pursue, certainly, which is understandable.

The author and originally an investigative journalist, and in certain circles held as a well known author is Brad Steiger, who long worked in the realm of the mantic arts and sciences and earlier did works regarding much higher subjects, that of the "supernal" worlds, and who would later work with his wife in Demonology as a husband-and-wife team, whom may provide you genuine insights on this.

You might want to find out about Brad Steiger on a web search. He wrote a book, which is a biography account, published circa the 1960's, on a most interesting person (or being) named Paul Twitchell -- a highly spiritual being to say the least. The book is titled "In My Soul I Am Free."

//////////////

The downside of Demonology is, it does have a dangerous component to it. But this penchant is no different than anything found in our day-to-day world that includes elements of danger -- such as that of being a police officer or mountain climber... One simply has to be trained and inclined to any endeavor, is all.

Hmmm, description sounds like Mary Poppins on a cold and rainy day off.

On second thought. You've described the nasty old man in the Starwars movies.

Crazy dream... that's all. Nothing to worry about. I happen to be someone who has crazy vivid dreams and I remember them when I wake up (a lot of them anyways). Friends often don't believe me, as they rarely ever remember their dreams at all, and claim they don't dream. No reason to dabble in demonology, unless the topic interests you!

This sounds silly, immature, and overproduced. You've been watching too many horror movies. Dreams are reflections of the mind and the unconscious soul. They lead paths. Nothing literally comes and talks to you in them. Spirits represent. Cure your ignorance and start expanding your mind.

they are unquestionably the comparable - being spirits. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, their intentions might variety extensively. There are benevolent "ghosts" or spirits as there are malignant ones. the two ones connect themselves to a guy or woman or puppy for that count as a results of concept of harmonic attraction. by means of that I recommend to declare that destructive or evil spirits have an interest in persons of like recommendations perpetuating a physique of recommendations with ensuing destructive, evil strikes. on the different hand - benevolent spirits are interested in those of like/equivalent recommendations doing reliable "issues". Even an extremely reliable pious guy or woman - as quickly as starting to be morally or in any different case susceptible - can and could be concern to undesirable invasions! as quickly as destructive entities are entrenched, they are demanding to evict! In sufficient numbers and severity they are in a position to truly kill a guy or woman by means of the years. As on your question re the presence of a "ghost" on your new locale, it must be desperate what the character of that entity is. in maximum situations it rather is a destructive one among a perplexed and pissed off entity which will have died there under no longer so astonishing circumstances..... like having been murdered and so on. might desire to that be the case, an powerful exorcism must be comprehensive. specific info might desire to be defined to the "ghost" or discarnate entity to launch him/her from that entrapment in limbo. "Can demons very own ghosts?" to no longer my information. Your question is an extremely valid and exciting one - it rather is impossible to pass into any information right here. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, I recommend which you get this e book from Amazon for roughly $15-$20 in comfortable conceal. it is going to answer any questions you may probably have. The call is: "The Spirits e book" from Allan Kardec featuring over one thousand specific questions and solutions - which incorporates what you asked right here. It grew to become into written over a hundred years in the past and is seen THE authority in the time of this field. BTW - I handle those factors invariably like casting out "demons" and so on, cleansing out locations. in case you have any extra questions - you're welcome to e mail me. i desire this facilitates you.
