I really believe there has been a severe case of brainwashing in this country. Almost every day, in my e-mail, I receive another dirty Clinton joke from a Republican friend. It is as if their gears are stuck in neutral and their brains are in a catatonic trance, with their obsession with Bill Clinton overcoming any common sense at all!
Their obsession with Clinton extends to his wife. I don't know what Hillary Clinton ever did to deserve such treatment, but they seem to believe she is a cross between Jezabel and Tokyo Rose. Perhaps it was her Health Care Plan, but one wouldn't think that would lead to everlasting contempt and ridicule from these professional muckrakers.
Look at their choice of Presidents. Nixon, for Heaven's sake! Liberals could send Nixon jokes and complain about Nixon constantly, because he deserved every bit of it. Instead, they allowed him to live and die with dignity. This is courteous American behavior.
Since Rush Limbaugh spewed hatred daily like a bowl of chicken soup and the Christian Right began to see Liberals under their beds, this ridiculous behavior has become the norm. I read it on these forums and I don't know whether to laugh or weep. It's pathetic.

It's called denial. There are several defining characteristics that identify the possibility that a patient may be in denial. Some examples include pretending something does not exist when in reality it does. Being willing to admit there is a problem, but unwilling to see the severity of it. Seeing the problem as being caused by something or someone else. The behavior is not denied, but its cause is someone else's responsibility. Offering excuses, alibis, justifications, and other explanations for behavior. Dealing with the problem on a general level; avoiding personal and emotional awareness of the situations or conditions. Changing the subject to avoid threatening topics. Becoming angry and irritable when reference is made to the condition. These defining characteristics help to avoid the issue at hand

There are people on both sides that just deflect criticism for their party onto the other party.
I agree with you that this President has failed miserably on many fronts (immigration, shamesty bill, out of control spending). Where I WILL point to Clinton is when the "conspiracy" about Bush planning 9/11, or where are the WMD's Bush said were in Iraq. IT is fair to point out others on the left thought the same thing.

Sometimes, when we point out what Clinton did in response to some the typical questions that prompt such a response, it's to show that he did similar things and no one came down on him for it. For example, Clinton did business with Halliburton. He awarded them large no-bid government contracts. When the Bush administration does this, it's criminal. Fact is almost every president has treated Halliburton like this, and only now do any of them take flack for it. A little hypocritical, don't you think? I don't often do this to attack Clinton, I liked Clinton, he was a good president, but don't think he didn't have his share of corruption that got largely overlooked by those who so over zealously attack Bush.

I think you hit the nail on the head!
The neocons have VERY strict marching orders (talking points) and Bill and/or Hillary Clinton are mentioned/blamed for everything they feel is wrong with the country.
The problem with this tactic is that the majority of the country is now aware of the nonsense of this and it is no longer working.
This is Bush's war and he has screwed it up all by himself (Cheney and the others included).

I am able to respond positively to any negatives that you may throw at me about our good President Bush. You post it, I will answer the question without mentioning either of the Clintons involvement. I am quite capable of thinking for myself, so go ahead, bring it on!

Maybe these are actual employees working in the West Wing of the White House.... I mean it seems that all these people do today is work on spinning the merits of Bush when most people (both Republicans and Democrats) can't stand this president.... Maybe all these staunch defenders of Bush on yahoo are actually just employees of his (paid by tax payer money...lol).
Afterall, this is the first president who controls the hand picked audience for his public forums.
I mean you'd have to be an idiot or one of his employees to defend this idiot.... BTW, I usually vote Republican so this isn't a liberal trashing Bush. I just think he sucks.

Does that mean that you and the liberal whack jobs are going to practice what you preach and we aren't going to have years of listening to you people whine about Bush after the next election?
My guess is no.

Because there are the same amount of people like you who use the word Neocon, call the Bush administration a regime, and wouldn't recognize hypocrisy if it hit them in face.

You're RIGHT on target here. If the Cons don't hear / don't remember what Sean, Anne, Rush, Savage etc etc tell them to think / say ... then they just resort to blaming a man who hasn't been in office for SEVEN YEARS. It's pretty sad.
