I'll start.
I'm very proud to be a citizen of this awesome nation. When I say that the U.S.A. is the greatest nation in the world, I really do mean it. It's not just opinion, it's also fact.
The world envies us for our freedom, our #1 military, economy, technological advances, social advances, medical advances, schools, generous money contributions to littler countries like Israel or bigger countries like Africa. They also envy us for our success, our capitalist society, our freedom promoting ideology, and our incredible patriotism for America and our troops.
What prompted me to write this came after from celebrating Columbus Day with activities and festivals.
Americans, whether you're conservative or liberal, who will say that they're proud to be an American right now?
Another aspect of American society that I like are the intense debates between liberals and conservatives.
It shows that democracy is really working!
GOD BLESS AMERICA for She is the greatest nation!

I am very proud to be an American. My ancestors started coming here from Ireland, Scotland and England in the late 1600's to the mid 1700's and helped build this country. They settled mostly in Appalachia and were and are very hard working and strong. I am very proud of that. America isn't perfect, we've made a lot of mistakes, taken some wrong turns, but there is nowhere on this Earth I'd rather live.

I absolutely agree. That is rare that you and I agree on much but this I have to agree with you on. Yes I am proud that I live in such a wonderful country. My earliest ancestors came to North America from Europe in 1597 with more in the 16, 17, and 18 hundreds. We came to get away from places where people were oppressed.
Today we celebrate the first journey of a greedy Italian sea captain who sailed ships intending to bring untold riches from Asia to a greedy Spanish king whose treasury was depleted fighting the Moors.
Today in Canada they celebrate Thanksgiving as we in the US will next month. Frankly we can all be thankful that that greedy sea captain made that voyage as it sped up the colonization of the new world. The Vikings were taking way too long.
By the way, I thought you should know Africa is a continent not a country.

Ugly American or not, I love this country and I know on which side I will be standing when the lines are drawn in the fight that will happen to reclaim this beautiful land! And what small-d+cked individual came up with the self hating term "ugly American?" anyway, huh? grow some and then grow up! You think slef depracating terms will keep your throat closed? It will only get it slit faster, you morons.
oh, and watch out for Canadians, I hear they are ruthless. The Canadaians can thank us later for reaping the multitude of benefits they get simply from having us as a neighbor.

"Americans: Are you proud to be citizens of the greatest and freest nation on Earth?"
That would be the same nation that most Republicans hate because it's packed with Democrats, ethnic minorities, liberal media, Hollywood liberals, cosmopolitan cities like San Fran, L.A., New York, Seattle, Miami...etc... Well, you get the idea.
Actually, there's not much that Republicans love about America.
But, the good news is that Democrats do love America! So yes, many, many millions of Americans do love the USA!
...And they're trying to save it.

I love this great nation. I'm sorry to see that there are so many spoiled ones who have had it so good that they don't appreciate just how great this country is....its sad and I guess it would take our fall before they open their eyes...but it will be too late.

Proud enough to have served 20 years in the US Navy. Despite the Clinton's, Reid's, Kennedy's and Pelosi's of the country, it is still the greatest country in the world. And frankly, if someone thinks differently, I don't see why they wouldn't leave for the country they think is better!! Funny thing is nobody is fighting to get out of this country, but people risk their lives everyday to come here.
Oh and how can you not laugh at this idiot below me here??? Canada exists because it has the big dog as a friendly neighbor.
