So when is it acceptable to call him a traitor? Now or do we have to wait a few days? Whats the etiquette?

Wow, judging from the answers in here, it might actually be time to call most of you traitors. Such intellectual and moral blindness.

When did it become a "progressive" ideal to throw millions of men, women and children to the religious totalitarian islamic wolves?

Cut Longhaired some slack. He is doing his best to reason through this. It can take years to repair the damage caused by a liberal upbringing and university indoctrination; some never recover. Who was it that said the following quote?

"If you are twenty and you aren't a liberal, you don't have a heart. If you are forty and you aren't a conservative, you don't have a brain."

Who am I kidding? He's a traitor.

I don't agree with him, especially if 'winning' means peace and stability in Iraq.

I would rather see the Iraqi government tell us to leave Iraq and then refuse to do any kind of business with the US - no oil contracts, no military bases, etc... That would be a more just result.

He's a typical "Hate America First" type. It is hard to see what would be good about the US losing in Iraq for the world or for the US. I presume his point is that we are feeling too big for our britches and we need to become more humble and not bully the world.

Naive and childish, but not necessarily treasonous since treason requires an act against the state. The statement is treasonous but is protected speech. Treason requires an action not just a thought (assuming that the comment itself reflected a thought - odds are it was merely a reflex, kind of like chickens running around after you've cut their heads off...)

Long Haired Freaky is officially a traitor now. Not only rooting for the enemy and hoping the US loses, but calling it a crime to punish an evil dictator. Wow. That's a new low. Rest assured Long Haired Freaky: every soldier we lose is another one achieving your goal.

Here is exactly what he said;

{The world would be much better off if the United States lost the war in Iraq.

It would ensure that crime doesn't pay.}

So no he didn't say he wanted the US to lose in Iraq. How come you couldn't just cut and paste his exact words?
Coward!

You can call him a traitor as freedom of speech still exists in America. One thing Bush hasn't yet tried to rescind.
But you would be dishonest as is most conservatives.

I an understand that some have no etiquette, but what has this to do with , not defending your country. You know already how hard it is to pin a flag with the stars and stripes on the party of a donkey.

I don't agree with him but he DIDN'T say what you are saying... C'mon, you're smarter than that.

If you aren't going to like someone's answer then don't ask the question. People like you make politics so personal; I would advise you to stick to sports.

I'm never surprised at what Longhaired freaky will say.
Well, I've always done it under my breath, I'm not sure of the proper etiquette though. Gotta watch for those PC police

EDIT: I used to get a violation every time I answered one of his questions.

He didn't exactly say he wanted us to lose but he did say that would be the best outcome so he at least implied that he would like the US to lose in Iraq.......

He can say what he wants, it doesn't make him right, or even sane for that matter. You can feel free to launch the barrage any time you see fit, I got your back.
