I just had to know how many people think that humans are compassionate, intellegent creatures or how many people think humans are careless and idiotic.

Humans don't seem to be learning quickly enough... something HUGE needs to happen to them. I'm not sure exactly what should happen, but something really major should happen. An asteroid won't work because it'll just make people go crazy and start looting before they all get wiped out... Something needs to tear what they are apart, tear their egos apart.

It all depends. At this stage of the game most are not very intelligent even if they have some idea of compassion they don't understand why or deeper understand of that compassion. It is a superficial understanding of real compassion and it is situational. In general, they are self centered and self motivated. That is why we are all here in the material illusion. When we actually become compassionate human beings we would never eat the flesh of another animal or kill a bug unnecessarily or be cruel or say harmful words. These souls are few and far between. Real compassion is to help people understand who they truel are and show them how to end all suffering and get out of this illusion. It all depends on what you believe. It is the classic nature vs. nurture discussion. Do you believe that a baby fresh out of the womb is basically good, basically evil, or that it depends on how they are raised. Beyond all of that humans in general are greedy, self involved, and uncaring. Just look at the way we treat the planet compared to other species. The last thing for this answer is that a human being is usually rational kind and clearheaded buy a group of humans often resorts to a mob mentality which is almost always evil

Hyman's are in-between being beasts and divine.
It's our Free Will choices that create our personalities.

We can be selfish, and only think of ourselves remaining more beastly than divine. Other times it's our selfishness that overflows into helping others unknowingly. You'll see short term goals sough after they type of personality.

Then some have extended past short term gratification and blend it with a little more distant goals. These types are the competitive types who are still lead by their own self gratification while striving to expand this to others; often they've witnessed this unexplainable.

Others find that when they focus on the greater good they need very little self gratification. Their goals are still longer term. Here is where the charity and self giving start to evolve. Others see this and are attracted to these people because of their hope & L.T. insights.

There are the elite ... the few ... some call 'em "Saints" who are selfless and this is the rare breed that when we encounter them we are in awe of thier inner beauty which replaces their outer beauty.

I think human beings are evolving to a state intended. At the moment there are a great many who are a sorry lot and also a great many that are compassionate.

I think we are animals.
Some are compassionate, some aren't.
I've seen Bambi, and I've seen the carcass of a deer that just ran off the side of a cliff.
I've been naughty, and the next year, I was nice.
And everything changes. And the more they change, the more they stay the same.

I think the human race is basically good. All are born with free will to do good. However, some allow their free-will to do evil. But for the most part, I think the human race is good.
