I am writing a reflective paper ( topic being what love means to me)...Now I have three general topics which will be my three main paragraphs. I have come up with 1. Love of a spouse, significant other, 2.) Love of a family member, friend or pet and 3.) Love of an inanimate object or type of behavior (sex for example)

Is it fair enough to say you can love football games, your favorite shoes and skiing??? Does that makes sense?

People say those kinds of things. You should question whether or not this is real love.

Your question reminds me of a conversation in the movie TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU. One character is discussing the difference between "like" and "Love." and says "I mean, I like my Sketchers -- but I love my Prada bag." Her friend responds with "But I love MY sketchers." The response: "That's because you don't have a Prada bag."
