i got a few rocks from the beach anyone know how to make it safe for me to put the rocks sinide of my tank without doing harm?

Before doing that, pour some vinegar on them. If they bubble or foam, they'll most likely raise your ph in the tank, so you may not want to use them.

If you do use them, I'd scrub them first with a new scrub brush or toothbrush to loosen any debris. Then boil them to kill off any critters that may have hitchhiked on them.
