What is the most interesting part of Psychology?

There are many areas in Psychology. Which one exerces the strongest pull on your interest? Why?
What draws you to learn more about the Human mind?

To psychology majors: Why did you choose Psych in University?

Cognitive and Neuropsychology.... the human brain fascinates me. There is so much that we don't know about how it works. Just think.... everything you do, everything we feel, every thought that crosses your mind, even for a flittering brief moment is controlled by something in your brain. We only know about a very, very small portion of what our brain is capable of. This is why I got a graduate degree in Psychology and actually teach it now! I just find it all so fascinating!

I would choose it because we're so messed up. If we're not messed up then we're out of step and feel messed up, or we're in step and messed up. That's messed up. At first I thought I was on the wrong planet, but now I'm OK as now I know it's really that everyone else is. Now that I know we think at five bytes/second and the rest of the mind thinks at five megabytes/second, I want that 4,999,995 bytes back and we can do it too. And it starts with emotional intelligence and then on to intuition. The why is that I'm already experiencing some of the power and I want more, more, more. And miles to go before I sleep. Actually I think it's getting more into an interdisciplinary study from the point of view of psychology, rather then a myopic view inward only, because there's the philosophy of psychology, the new biology, neuroscience and neurobiology and yes, by heaven, spirituality. And now they're even studying psychic phenomena and some say some of it has been proved. Whoa'o. The university may already be behind and you may not have even started yet.
