Goodness Gracious Me!!
I didnt think they even MADE these machines anymore!
I had one in the 70's It lasted me forever, and only ever went wrong once. And that was a kiddies sock getting stuck down inside the spinner parts drum.
It was an absolute godsend.
I now have an automatic washer dryer. It hasnt gone wrong yet. Its more than 7yrs old...mind you knowing my luck, now Iv mentioned it hehe! But I have friends with the same machines and there are forever problems with one thing and another...
Wish you luck!
From the other answerers, it appears they are still making them. You will be a lot better off with one of them than a new automatic. I know you have to stay with them while they are being used, but they clean the clothes better (if you get one with a central agitator rather than a back agitator) and the spinner getys the clothes a fair site better 'rung' than the autos these days, making drying a far quicker thing to do
