I live in Canada and am proud to do so. It is the best country in the world.
We have a stable government (a bit kooky, perhaps, but stable). Nobody is shooting and bombing each other on the streets. Most other nations don't hate Canada. Quebec and the rest of Canada still need to settle our differences, and we're still trying to sort out how best to help our Native brothers and sisters.
We are not a super-power so don't need to worry that some extremist group will be dropping nukes on us any time soon.
Our economy is strong and we live a good life. Sure there are poor people but we have many social programs who try to help these people.
Our health care is good and a person doens't need to go bankrupt to receive medical treatment. We have universal, free education to grade 12.
Our air is clean and so is our water. We have a lot of wide open spaces.
We don't suffer the extremes of hurricanes and typhoons. Flooding is uncommon. No dread diseases like malaria or yellow fever. We don't share our lving spaces with numerous creep-crawlies. Except for the far west coast, not much in the way of earth-quakes or volcanoes.
We have four seasons. (Yeah, winter gets a bit tiresome after a while but it's not so bad.)
I'm at about the 53rd parallel and we have quite a difference in the length of days during the year. In late June, it is daylight by 04:00 and doesn't get completely dark until about 23:00.
We have tons of cultural exposure and we are generally tolerant of other cultures. Just the exposure to all the different ethnic foods is a pleasure in itself.
We have a strong and stable and trustworthy banking system. We vote for our elected officials (and criticize them when they don't do what we want). We are at the forefront of technological adoption.
Our beef is the best in the world. (Sorry Argentina and Texas.)
I could go on but that would be at the risk of bragging.

Right here in the United States of America.
Why?
Because here I am guaranteed the best opportunities overall for education, freedoms, cultural varieties, housing, job availability and personal protection. Here I am surrounded by peaceful, non warring nations, beautiful seasons, geography and national parks.
Additionally, an incredible heritage of the formation of a nation from people who were seeking freedoms and a better way. I can speak my mind freely, worship how I want to and make money for my own family and not for a dictator or royal family.
It all makes me ponder often at how fortunate I was to have been born here instead of some other country where I might not have lived past 11 or if I did, where I might have carried a gun on my hip instead a backpack full of homework.
Indeed, God has blessed America and has therefore blessed me.

America is great and i do love it here, but i would love to live in either Japan or Australia. Japan is awesome, and so ahead of us technologically speaking not to mention they are a free country too, just a little crowded. The other place being Australia. the country is beautiful, and has very high standards. The people are so nice and its a great party spot (so is south africa actually) My boyfriend spent time in both those places in the military, and it just sounds like awesome places to be!

USA, I was born here. I won't say this is the best place to live for everyone. There is opportunity, but it gets quite cut throat at times. Laws favor the greedy and ruthless here.
The money is over inflated and pretty much meaningless.
But people tell me its a lot better than most countries.

Ireland - because there are fewer people & even though it rains a lot, it's a beautiful place. Crime is WAY lower than here in the US & So. Cal, where I live is being taken over by illegal immigrants.
