There has to be a better way. The fence will not keep out drug traffic, they will have the money to buy their way in ,the sea and air is a big place to fence. Bad people will always get in.

The fence is not intended to keep out legal immigrants like your ancestors and mine. It is intended to keep out illegal aliens. You are correct that it may not stop 100% of the illegal aliens and 100% of the drug traffic. However, most of the drug traffic does not pay to go through border crossings, the pay to go over (or some cases under) the border in under patroled areas.
If the flow of illegals can be slowed by a fence, then the border patrol can spend more time and energy intercepting the drug trade.

No one minds sharing this country with the Mexican people. The problem comes in when they sneak in and don't ABIDE BY OUR LAWS. Do not enter as an illegal, enter as a potential American!
The drug problem has to be stopped, for the sake of young people of every race.
Law Enforcement here actually like the Mexican people. If they have a problem among themselves, they just handle it themselves. That means they many times kill each other. Which is not our law but theirs.
A fence won't work, I am sure.

IT WOULD BE CHEAPER THAN
WELFARE FOR ALL OF THEM
THE BURDEN THEY WILL PLACE ON THE MEDICAL COST.
THE EXTRA BURDEN PUT ON THE EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN.
THEY DON T WANT TO LIVE HERE PERMANENTLY . THEY WISH TO GO BACK AND FORTH ACROSS THE BORDER.AND NOT BE BURDEN WITH PAYING TAXES ON THE MONEY THEY MAKE OFF THE AMERICAN ECONOMY. BUT SCREAM FOR THEIR RIGHTS TO OUR FREEDOMS AS THO THEY ARE CITIZENS .
THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS IN OUR COUNTRY UNLESS THEY ENTERED PROPERLY WITH VISAS OR WORK PERMITS.THEY ARE FORIEGN NATIONALS AND HAVE NO RIGHTS TO OUR WELFARE,HEALTH CARE OR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.THE BURDEN PUT ON OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND BORDER ENFORCEMENT IS A SAD JOKE.ILLEGALS SHOULD BE IMPRISIONED FOR LONG AND HARSH TERMS THE DISCOURAGE THEIR COMING HERE . BUSINESES THAT EMPLOY ILLEGALS SHOULD BE FINED TO AN INCH OF THEIR LIVES TO TAKE ANY PROFIT OUT OF EMPLOTMENT OF THESE ILLEGALS.
ANYONE CROSSING THE BORDER ANYWHERE BUT THE CHECK POINTS SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED AND IF FOUND CROSSING ILLEGALLY IN THE FUTURE SHOULD BE DEPORTED AND GIVEN A LIFE TIME BAND TO ENTER.

Unless they can actually build it the ENTIRE length, somehow protect the ends so people don't get around by water, put barbed wire on the top, and somehow end all access to wire cutters...save the money.

I think the fence is long overdue.
I'm all for legal immigration, I just think in these uncertain times, we should know who is coming in.

Did you not hear the clever little rascals just dug tunnels beneath and came through regardless? Seems the little buggers are always one step ahead.
And yes, you are so right...no one is native to this country...the ones who are were long ago driven out so talk about the kettle calling the pot black.

I am completely against it. Instead of the human race progressing and accepting one another, we are still building walls. This is no better that the Berlin wall.
