Or have you been approached by someone that wants help with their business? We all know it's a scam. Here's a good link:

Hubby got one of those "help with my accounts receivable and keep part of the money" things. Sometimes you just can't tell the man something. So in comes this check for $4,500 and he said he was going to the bank. He would have earned 10%. I told him not to touch our account with it. He said he wasn't stupid. I told him what would happen to our account if he did. I told him what would happen to him if something happened to our account. It took the bank manager at the main branch to convince him that it was a scam. Why is it because I'm blond I'm not supposed to know anything? Arrgggghhhh!

I've won billions, and am still poor as a church mouse.
What I can't understand is this: I'm starting to get lots of them from in the U.S., where I live. Why can't the "Fraud Chiefs" in the Government, trace the ISP numbers and find these people? This would seem like the ideal way to do it here in the US. Then fine them ridiculously high fines. And, the Internet companies don't seem to be doing anything to stop this. It bugs me when I get one of these things sent through a provider here in the U.S and nothing is done, and heaven knows, there are plenty of fraud prevention sites that get reports every day. Some of what I get are sent from sites that have government regulation such as Bellsouth. It'll go on as long as we don't fight it.
Senior fraud is high, we need protection from people like this.

Yes, I received 3 of those checks. Called the bank that they were drawn on. They were counterfeit. I asked the bank if I should send them to them, they told me to turn them over to the local police department, which I did.
These were sent from Canada. I also received the emails too, just deleted them.
I started receiving them after I posted my resume on line
They probably thought I was desperate enough to do anything for money

I know the counterfeit check scam well, as people try to pull it on me constantly. I have never fallen for it.
However, my business could use some help, thats no scam.
... I can't wait till Bill Gates pays out on those email forwards, I'm gonna clean up.

Yes, I've won several times also-no $ yet. lol My dad was telling me about getting the check scam they send you. I also saw a warning on the genealogy site about looking up surnames and that the 'bad' guys had set up sites and it could hurt your computers. They are usually the first sites listed too because they are so computer savvy.

I've won foreign lotteries about 500 times, have had rich people want me to inherit their wealth at least 300 times, have had bankers want me to help them scam their bank out of millions, probably 400 times, and have received millions of dollars in grants, at least 100 times. To say nothing of all the hundreds of foreign companies who want me to represent them in my country in one way or another. Not very original are they and not exceptionally bright? Do people really fall for their crap?

you're not stupid, under no circumstances should you open any e mails from these unscrupulous thieves and always mark them as spam or unsafe, i live in u.s. and it is illegal to win lotterys from another country unless you buy from a licensed vendor in canada or other.
