I think to neocons and to possibly militiary people (w/ exceptions) definitely. They don't want to question the wisdom of authority and they have the utmost respect. Blah. Blah. I didn't realize that asking questions, looking for answers, debating/discussing was disrespectful. It seems quite the opposite to me because it means that you are paying attention! Aren't we all human even the President? We are all capable of making an error and I think that's particularly true if you have people in power with the same kind of background or very similar background. Diversity helps keep thinking fresh among one of its strengths.

Not on your Nelly! It just means put you brain, your conscience and every decent impulse you have to sleep, And hang out a Sh-t load of stripped rags and little "I support them Boys in Haditha stickers!"
Drink some Coors, set fire to some homeless guys, vandalize a Mosque and watch some NASCAR.
bawl over the 911s (even if you know in your heart those big-shots would not have given your cracker a-- the time of day except to laugh at you)
If you do those things you can support any right wing thug you want to a be ok with god and apple pie.

No as a matter of fact the American people have a petition for the US armed forces to not attack Iran.
They have laid out the law any why it would be illegal.
They also are letting them know that they can be charged even if they are ordered to attack.
I think Americans are learning and stepping up for a change.

Of course not. It means respecting the good things about your country and what your country stands as well as honoring the good things that were accomplished in the past.
It is not patriotic to blindly follow the president, nor is it patriotic to blindly criticize him either. Patriotism requires you to think for your self.

Absolutely not. The President should serve the people, and not the other way around.

the people that think this way are very selective as to the presidents that they treat this way. if they approve of him; then no criticism allowed. if, however, they do not like them (i.e. if they are a democrat) then any and all criticism is welcome.
welcome to the double standard.

"You are either with us, or against us."
Words from a simple mind....or is that "simple-minded?"
