No, I do not. I am still retired today. They almost pull up the sidewalks around here. The big box stores are open and having Columbus Day sales. I'll be going there myself in a little while.

I have the day off but not because it's Columbus Day. I live in Canada and it's a long weekend because we celebrate Thanksgiving in October.

I believe schools never close on Columbus Day..I think it's just federal institutions (i.e., banks, post offices, MVA's, etc)

Nope, i am working, it's Thanksgiving in Canada! And i am sure working! Everybody else is off and enjoying a long weekend, but i am working, kids are playing outside and enjoying a day off but i am working..
did i mention that i am stuck in my office work!
