Don't listen to that derogatory 'just lazy' comment, tiredness can happen for many reasons, not always from a medical condition. Iron defiency can cause chronic fatigue and may be worth looking into, especially as you are female. I have suffered the same problems, okay, I don't have the miracle cure, if I did I'd have a fortune by now, but I have found that those that haven't experienced chronic fatigue do not understand and really aren't qualified to comment on anybody else's case. However, I did find that exercise really does help, I know it sounds silly, if i'm tired how can i exercise?, but sometimes forcing yourself to act reinforces your mental state and makes you more alert in the long run, if you get me, it's just overcoming the first hurdle that's the hardest. Also, if tiredness is likely caused by depression, you never know, just sitting through a few back to back comedy sitcoms and having a damn good laugh will make you feel more alive....if that fails, put on a metallica/ nine inch nails/guns nr roses (u get the picture) record on full blast, it may not cure your own need for sleep if you're really that tired, but it'll wake everyone in the neighbourhood, then, they might understand the frustration you're feeling....

First let me say, Congratulations on your new baby! This happened to me twice before, I could not keep my eyes open, no matter how much sleep I got, which was a lot! The second time it happened, I almost ended up in the hospital. What is turned out being both times, is that my Iron Level was extremely low and that's what was causing me, to be so tired all the time. They ended up giving me Iron through an IV, once a week for four weeks, because the Iron Pills were making me sick. I noticed a difference after the first treatment. I think you should have your Dr. run some blood work on you, and he will be able to see, if that's the same problem you are having and treat it or if it's something else and treat it. It's not normal to feel that way all the time, and being that you just had a precious baby and you are nursing, it could have something to do with your iron level being lower or depleted. Good Luck! I hope you feel better soon!

Sounds like an iron issue. You can either take a supplement or you can find out what foods you like that have a lot of iron in it. See if that helps, good luck!

My mother has suffered the so called "Yuppie Flu" for nearly 20 years and has since been diagnosed as having "MS" too.
See your doctor.
