I think anyone that has had their heart broken regrets opening the door. I have been hurt really bad one time in my life. So now I'm a little more hesitant and cautious with opening the door!

Yes and no. Loving is often expensive emotionally. Loving a lot results in great pain if that love is lost quickly. Sometimes while in the throws of that pain, when I felt like my chest was hollowed out by a blowtorch, I regret ever giving my heart away in the first place. Looking back on it, though, every single one of those was well worth it both for the happiness I had while loving and being loved, and for the wisdom I've received in knowing better who to avoid giving that kind of affection to in the future.

Yes, when I opened it to people who then took advantage and ripped my heart out!! I still keep my heart open to the people that need it, I'm glad that the bad ones didn't kill my ability to care, or my wanting to care!!

Every time I think about him, but he did teach me a valuable lesson. Maybe that's why it was so easy to let him in. Okay maybe I don't "regret" it but the pain after wards in horrible.
