True. I am right now.

I am 16yrs old and my father recently passed and my sibling was only 2 when it happened. They are now 4 and my mother is too ill and has depression, so she can't exactly raise my sibling properly. I play with my sibling, take them to school, get them bathed, buy their clothes and school supplies, help them with homework, make food for them, and help them with homework and take them to and from school everyday.

Very true.
By the age of ten, as the oldest, I was doing some basic cooking, laundry, dishes, changing diapers, helping the younger ones get ready for school, babysitting at night while Mother partied or worked and so very much more..
It was very off-putting to having my OWN kids when I became an adult.
Until the age of 30 I was resentful of having my own childhood taken away from me, but I now view things in a different light. The experience had, indeed, taught me to be responsible.

Yeah. And she hates me. My folks couldn't afford to not be working all day every day and I practically raised my sister. I wasn't a very good dad when I was 6 years old and didn't know what I was doing. I remember giving her a bath one night and checking on her during commercials. I was drying her off when the show came back on. I left her there, sitting naked on the toilet and made her wait for the next commercial break. I'm glad she was to young to remember that.
