You have it backwards, you want low risk stocks that will go up a lot in the next few months. High risk stocks implode easily and it might not be there then.

Go to msn.com's power stock screen at MSN Money. Look for very low PE, low Price to Book, low Price to Cash flow, and high interest coverage AND with a high BETA. If your time horizon is only three months, this should do you well.

goog - Google, might go into cell phones but how does an Internet search engine rule the world.

aapl - Apple, everyone needs an iPhone but we still make iPods and computers too.

msft - Microsoft, largest software maker in the universe with an extraordinary release of Halo3 in the works.

Pretty easy to write about, lots of information about them, can proceed with economic speculate to your heart's desire.
