Does ANYONE support the cause of the immigrants??

Or does everyone want to ship them to thier home country in packing crate? I get the feeling that Yahoo answers truly hates all forms of immigration and it makes me sad

I honestly have no problem with immigrants, legal or otherwise. What I do have a problem with is supporting them with various welfare programs. But I feel the same way about supporting American citizens with said programs. I think America should be the land of opportunity. If you want to work hard and make a better life for you and your family then welcome! Six years of paperwork and thousands of dollars in fees isn't necessary, we should only be screening for felons and those with communicable diseases. Once you're here though, whether you were born a citizen or just showed up, you have to work to support yourself. If you fall on rough times there are churches and private charities, but the government WILL NOT take care of you. Get a job, get some money, live the dream. Take away the free goodies and we'll only be attracting workers. And they're welcome in my country any time.

I have no objection to immigrants if they fullfill the following requirements.
1. Financialy able to provide for themselves and all accompanying family needs from the moment of arrival and for the rest of their lives.
2. Educated or qualified to take up a profession of which there is a need in the host country.
3. Prepared to fully intigrate into the host countries society. i.e. language, traditions, and cultural values.
4. Are healthy and prepared to take regular medical examinations.
5. Have no criminal record, either in host, home or any other country.
I am an immigrant worker, and have had to fullfill all the above requirements in my host country, at my own expense. Why should Britain be such a soft touch and therefore a destination of choice to so many ?

I thing there should be comprehensive immigration reform. It is just absurd to think that taxpayers should pay to repatriate millions of illegal immigrants from all over the world. Many industries are also dependent on these workers, whether or not some people want to admit that.

A lot of what you see on Yahoo answers is just plain unthinking prejudice. People obviously have not thought the issue through and cannot recommend any reasonable, realistic options.

I support immigrants they only want to better themselves. I think for someone to make a statement like putting them in a crate and shipping them back shows the type of person that you are. Maybe it is you with the problem not everyone else.

I saw one of these guys holding a sign that said,"European People = "Illegal Immigrants since 1492"

Now,..where did this guy learn his history ? Where does he think his ancestors, and their language and culture came from ?
I'm pretty sure he's not 'mestizo', or any kind of native-american from Mexico, because the peons helped their conquerers kill-off all the tribes, villages, and jungle hide-aways of the remaining "Indians" who survived the slaughter of the Aztecs, Mayans, (and pretty much everyone who was there when the conquistadors arrived).

Enough about those nut-jobs, I support All Legal immigrants, especially from Mexico. Some "Legals", are married into my family, and their family values, work ethic, and basic goodness, far outshines many of the "Born" Americans that take this nation for granted.

Like a typical lib, you're trying to convince everyone that immigrants and illegal aliens are the same thing. They are not. And like a typical lib, everyone is supposed to be apalled at the image of these poor, unfortunate folks being "herded" and thrown into "packing crates" to be shipped home. Facts are so inconvenient to the left that they must make up sad, horrible, emotional tales in order to promote their agenda. Amazing.

I dont want to ship them out because that may cause a bigger problem one day. I do think that when they come over here that they should speak English. American students should not be required to take a foreign language to be able to graduate. I also think that if they become a citizen then they should be treated like the rest of the American citizens. Meaning they should pay taxes as soon as they get over here. Not a couple years later. But no I do not think they should all be shipped out. This is just my opinion.

I think there are too many illegal immigrants in this country. I think the majority should return to their own country. We need to clean up our own mess of a Country first. We do not take care of our own people. We give more rights to illegal aliens. We tend to push our poor and sick to the wayside. We force our children to learn Spanish in school. Instead of making those who are illegal learn English. We go to stores and most things are in Spanish as well as English. We go to the DMV at they give the test in Spanish. When we use our phones we have automated voice asking us to press one if we want tohear it in English. Is this United States of America? Or is it United States of Mexico. I say if you are here in this country as an illegal. Then adapt to the English language. Adapt to living as an American. I do not want to see your flag in my country. Im sure you do not want mine flying in yours. Do you see a bunch of Americans going down to South America and demanding everyone adapt to speaking English an demanding equal rights in the stores to just sell English labeled products? Get real. Yes we need to fix the problems here in this country. I am not down on any immigrants. But, I can not help but wonder why we forget that the first people here are the Native Americans. All are immigrants except the Native Americans. I say clean up the big mess the goverment made of opening up the borders. I say send the people back to their home lands. Quite giving financial aide for people who come over seas to start businesses. We are not a people of advantage. Most of us can not get a bank loan, let alone a loan from the goverment to start our own business. What is wrong with this? I say Go home to your own country. If you truly do not like how your country is ran. Then start a revolution. Kick out the jerks running it. Change starts with just one word. One person. One willing to move mountains.

There is a lady named Ortencia, married to Hipolito. She came her illegally, had an illegal driver's license, worked illegally without paying taxes, lived illegally in a basement, had ten kids who all had a free public education, had all of her garbage taken from curbside by department of sanitation for free, claimed all of her kids as dependents on her income tax returns and received a substantial kickback in Earned Income Credit for child, filed about five fraudulent personal injury lawsuits stemming from insignificant accidents or non-existent accidents, and, then she started buying homes using all that "hard earned" money and became a wealthy US Citizen who claims she "made it" on her own. She now espouses the plight of illegals and she claims they are productive members of society.

Them illegals should all be sent home! Anyone who comes to this country to mimic the white capitalist degenerates of this country should be deported! If they come here to follow Martin Luther's King's TRUE American dream, then they may be able to stay.

Totally for Legal immigration with annual limits for assimilation.
Illegal immigrants are only being exploited.
There are few countries with a middle class.
Illegal immigration kills our middle class.
If there is no middle class then you only have the very rich and the very poor. This is the plan.
