Because that makes a good emotional argument against the war... and that's it. If that war was all about oil, why is gas so expensive, why not invade Canada seeing as a large amount of our oil reserves come from there?
They can't answer these questions either.

No, it's not all about oil. It's about oil AND it's about funneling the better part of a trillion of YOUR tax dollars into the military industrial complex.
What it's not about is terrorism or spreading Democracy. Why would a Fascist government be interested in spreading Democracy anyway? :)
Edit:
AND... for those who really wanna know, the reason that the U.S. doesn't invade Canada for it's oil... is because the U.S. doesn't want to go to war with the entire civilized world... which is exactly what would happen if it ever invaded Canada.
Incredible...

Only a war mongering immoral conservative (neo-con) would wage an illegal war that is based upon a pack of filthy lies and has so far seen the slaughtered of over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqi civilians instead of seeking other means of obtaining the oil LIKE JUST BUYING IT .
With many communities and states having to impose water restriction ,the US has an ever escalating fresh water supply problem which I quess to this one solution war mongering as ker means the US will have to declare war against Canada which has an obscenely high amount of fresh water eventhough we would be willing to sell them the water .
Like their revolution ,their Civil War,the Vietnam War etc,Americans always avoid a non-violent solution to it's problems if a violent slaughtering atrocity is available to them.
Like the gunslingers of the old West, Americans get orgasmic about things like SHOCK AND AWE as if it was but another Cecil B. DeMille production.

Because there is more than one way to get oil. It's not necessary to have blood on our hands to get oil for our cars.
Buying it legitimately would be more than adequate.
Here, read what British Petrolium and the US did to Iran in 1953. We wouldn't have that dweeb Ahmadinejad talking trash to us, had we kept our hands to ourselves.
If we learn about the past, maybe we can learn not to make the same mistakes over and over again.
