Go to the Alamo Drafthouse, it is an Austin staple, watch a new release or a crazy independent film (or even Rocky Horror) and have some great food at the same time (the Alamo Drafthouse on Lamar is best!). Also stop by the Whole Foods flagship store, it's huge and tasty. This is the start of theatre season at UT Austin, so you can go see some people who will be famous in a few years put on a show. Stop by Dave and Buster's if you don't have one in your town, lots of awesome games and fun things. Also, if you're a shopper, go to IKEA in Round Rock or the San Marcos outlets. While you're in San Marcos stop by the Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Safari (pet a giraffe!) San Antonio is close by if you want to see the Alamo, or Sea World or Fiesta Texas or the River Walk. Make Sure to go down Guadalupe Street in Austin and see all the fun stores (stop by Toy Joy and Dhaba Joy for some cute toys and delicious cupcakes) if you go down 6th street stop at Mekong River and get some Cheese Rolls and Tom-Kha (famously delicious). Ok, have a good trip!

Find your way to our infamous 6th street...
So much to see and do there...
It is in the downtown area close to our state capitol...
Lots of shops of all kinds and restaurants, and bars and fun places...
There are also buses that run so you don't have to walk far..
It is a fun area of town...
Also, Zilker Park is our biggest park and has a kiddie train to ride for just a few $$ and it holds adults too...
It is fun...
It is also still hot here and you can go swimming in Barton Springs pool in Zilker park...
But be forewarned, the water is ice cold because it is natural springs....
