You need to take a step back and consider how it would look if you blew your top and walked out....
This would make it difficult for you to explain to potential new employer's and it isn't nice to lie....
You would also put an end to any benefit you may be entitled to apply for.....and...
If you have bills to pay etc you need to work out how you are going to pay these....can you afford to ditch the job without another?
Maybe you could apply for other jobs whilst biting your tongue and sticking this one out until another one turns up.

It's best to give it a chance and try to become better at the job, rather than quit.
Try practicing cold calling at home, there's definitely a technique to sales. Write what you consider a decent sales pitch that states everything that the called party needs to hear from you. Practice it over and over, refining it as you go along (when you find an awkward spot), until you can basically say it in your sleep.
Then you can adapt it to different customers when you call them depending on what their reaction is.
Nothing can take the place of a good job with perks. And commission sales is a great thing if you can overcome "stage fright". But the downside is it takes experience to smoothly sell anything.
Look at it like an acting job. You must believe the character and feel the part. Actors always practice over and over until they get it just right. Then when it rolls, they can adapt to unforseen things because they aren't busy thinking about what to say.
If you aren't confident, that goes right through the phone. Most people don't want to buy from someone that isn't confident in their sales technique because it reflects poorly on their confidence in their own product.
Practice, practice, practice! But if in a month you still hate it, take another job without sales.

Aww hun, there are so many of us out there doing soulless jobs just to have enough money to pay the bills. In an ideal world we'd all have jobs that pay a decent wage, that we actually look forward to going to, with friendly and respectful collegues and customers.
If it's really that bad at least try to stick it out to save enough money to last you about 1-2 months, so you can find another job without immediate worry. Start looking for jobs now, employers seem to be more inclined towards folk already in employment. It proves to them that you have employment potential and proven useful skills.
There may be some kind of (official or unofficial) suport system in your company. Doing cold calling leaves me cold but I know that I have a sympathetic boss and collegues that I can blow off steam when I need to, because they know how horrible and unrewarding it can be sometimes.
Failing that get yourself a hobby, something that you really enjoy and look forward to doing when you're not at work. It's how I get by. :D
Good luck.

If you really despise your job, then I would quit. Sure the perks are great. I would rather work at a job that I like, that way you don't feel miserable for 8 hours a day if you don't like it. Cold calling people at inappropriate hours like around dinner time people aren't exactly going to be super friendly with you, they may tell you off or hang up on you.

I just read a book for a business course that tackles this question directly.
"...a consistently negative attitude that persists for weeks or months will destroy your future with the organization. If you find your negative attitude cannot be improved in your present setting, and you honestly feel such an attitude is justified, you should resign."
So, quit, and don't lose it. Good luck.

Never quit a job until you have another job. Start looking now. With Sales experience you should be just fine. Hang in there with this one until you have the new one. Good luck.

I think every job has its challenges. Try to love the job [even if you hate it] and sooner than later, it will become part of you. If after a year you still don't like the job, then you should resign - oh, after getting another job. I hate to be without a job.

Normally I'd say, wait until you have a new job before you quit your current one.
However its definitely time to quit your job when the thought of your job makes you physically sick. Just quit, but start looking for a new job ASAP!!! Good luck!
