Super Mario was half right - on a sphere you can draw a triangle where the sum of the interior angles is greater than 180 degrees.

But on a sphere, there are no parallel lines - all "straight" lines intersect. (A "straight" line on a sphere is a "great circle" a line that divides the sphere into two hemispheres.)

But that means that you can draw two straight lines that intersect twice, which you can't do on a plane.

Well, one shape is a triangle with more than 180 degrees and then two parallel lines that actually meet each other. These are possible on a sphere but not on a plane.

Other shapes are just a circle and two parallel lines that never meet. These are possible on both the sphere and the plane.
