I plan on getting rid of many of my heavy sweaters and jackets in favor of light fabrics and loose layers.
The creatures that have adapted to the thousands of global warming cycles that this planet has had are the smart ones that survive.
What will YOU be doing to adapt?

Goldenrae, interesting theory, but theory none the less. Why do the leftward leaning always subscribe to such gloom and doom scenarios anyway? Someone on some website just makes up a story and you believe it? Think for yourself.

There is no doubt the weather is changing. I have been an avid gardener for over thirty years. I've notice spring comes almost 3 weeks earlier these days, and winter is hardly as cold nor long as it use to be. Many plants I've grown for decades I can't any longer as they can tolerate the hotter drier climate.
Whether the climate change is cause by man's activity or a natural event is pretty much up in the air. Even so, I feel I should cut back in carbon emission any way I can just in case it is caused by man's activity. I now use a push mower to mow my grass rather than a power mower. It's one heck of a work out, but at my age I can use the exercise. I went back to using rakes and brooms rather than blowers. I will be trading in the gas guzzlers soon for more fuel efficent cars. I can't stand the high price of gas anyway.
As time goes by, I'll be doing more and more to cut back. So far what I am doing is healthier and cheaper for me anyway.

Fortunately we're a reasonably adaptive species, living in a rich society, in an area of the world which won't be one of the most impacted by climate change.
If you were one of the many species which will soon become extinct or living in an African nation which is facing food and water shortages, heat waves and droughts, and increased malaria outbreaks, you would not have the option of simply "adapting to global warming".
The irony is that the countries which are the most responsible for global warming are the countries which will see some of the least damaging effects. There are going to be even more anti-American sentiments in the not so distant future.

Well when global cooling -- formerly known as winter -- comes in, well, luckily I do not get cold and can wear shorts in below zero weather, not get sick or anything. So I guess I will not be affected in it. And when global warming -- formerly known as summer -- comes back around it does not really matter even then since I can wear sweaters in summer and not get hot. So I guess I don't really care about it either way. Than again it is just summer and win. . . err, global warming and global cooling. It is all natural.

Whatever I have to. I will also not be turning a deaf ear when scientist tell us that a lot of this can be reversed by things I can do to stop pollution. It only makes sense....

Same thing. According to real scientists, instead of the ones hired by George Soros, I get my information from real ones like http://www.heartland.org They have a quiz that will reveal the snow job that Al Gore also gave people.
So, like you, I too shall adjust accordingly! :)

I buy local and rely almost solely on public transit thus signficantly reducing my petroluem usage.
You do realize that global warming can actually increase the terror threat as people are displaced and potable water becomes scarcer?

I do think for myself sweetie.
