They can be vicious. A "pet" rabbit attacked me biting and scratching, which is why I thought of it. It didn't have rabies, and did not attack anyone else. Now I know of two things that hate me, computers and rabbits.

Bunnies are not prone to having Rabies. Although this is possible, it is so unlikely that no state requires pet rabbits to receive rabies vaccinations.

Other instances of diseases spread to humans from rabbits have not been recorded, although tetanus is also possible. Rabbit Calicivirus Disease (RCD) is not spread to humans.

The Vorpal Rabbit of Monty Python's Holy Grail was even more funny because of the non-aggressive nature of rabbits.

Humans have choked to death while eating rabbits, but this seems to be the fault of the human and not of the dead rabbit.

To the best of my knowledge, no human has ever died in their sleep by being sufficated by a rabbit either.

I leave the effects of Playboy Bunnies on old men out of this because they are not really rabbits.

The first thing that come to mind is rabies. Then there are other similar scary virus out there. If you have the animal you should take it to the vet for his examination and advice. If you do not have the animal you should see your family physician. Without the animal being examined, you may need to go through a course of shots to be at the safest level you can be. Check with your doctor.

Yes, one of the answer stems from the fact that rabbit hunting is not allowed in summertime-but winter-since rabbits have wwooolls in summer-and also-both rats and rabbits carried the bubonic plague in the early shipping days from and to ENGLAND and other diseases which yu may have your dogs and cats and rabbits etcetera vaccinated for-such as RABIES
like disentari coming from insane rabbits.
Good luck
