Coordinate covalent: One element provides the electrons to occupy an orbital.

Covalent bonding is sharing of electrons between 2 nonmetals and can be polar depending on the electronegativities.
Metallic bonding occurs between 1 or more metals and has free electrons due to orbital bands.
Network covalent solids have covalent bonding, but have different properties than molecular compounds.
