I get paid like $3200 per month and my ex only gets paid like $1800 per month. I spend 100% with my child. Will I still get child support from him? I live in Ca

By the way the reason why I feel he should pay me support is because he rather go spend the $ on DRUGS, ALCHOHOL, and FEMALES. So Im not being greedy, I just feel that he needs to be responsible too.

Sorry I forgot to add that he is a deadbeat dad, and prefers to be with his friends and girlfriends than with his child.

No matter how much he makes, he still has to support his child.

Based on the California child Support calculator (using ONLY the two incomes and basic visitation) he will pay from $155 to 400 per month.
And, contrary to what one poster said, the California calculator does allow for new spouse income to be used in the calculations.
Also, the amount of time he spends with the child (or is granted visitation) will reduce any award given by the court.
EDITED BASED ON ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Your added 'facts' are meaningless. The issue is child support. That is fact-based analysis by the court. What you added not only is irrelevant to the issue of child support but also divorce in California.
Leave the name calling and other games alone. It's not necessary.

yes you will get support if you have full custody of that child! i think you get 17% of his income for one child. But i would like to comment on the incomes of the both of you! you make almost double what he makes!!! I would ask him for 50.00 a week for support! some fathers get soooo screwed by there ex wife and i think its ridiculous that women take advantage of them! and im an ex wife! i have been getting child support from my ex husband for 12 years and its never been raised! i get 63.00/wk. He takes care of his son and if i ever need anything he's there for him.
unless he's a deadbeat dad, then go for support, but if he's a realible caring father, and see's your child, give him a break!

You sound very greedy to me. If he is only bringing in $1800 a month, then how much would you like to take from him? You seem to be making a pretty good living, back off. Karma is a b*tch.
You just sound bitter to me because, you got stuck raising the child. Let's not forget you picked him. I'm pretty sure he was into drugs and alcohol when you met before you had kids, so don't complain now that he is still up to his old tricks. As Judge Judy would say"YOU PICKED HIM" Use better judgment next time.

You will still get child support, but since you make more money then him, he may just pay about $200 a month.

that would be up to the court to decide but be thankful that he does spend so little time with the child so the child doesn't grow up to be like him. If you do push for more support, there is always the chance that he will decide he wants to spend more time with the child to either see where his money is going or to pump the child about you - depending upon how old he or she is - so you may be better off with less money and less visitation rights for him.

He should be paying you a little to contribute to your child but do you really need his support at this time? Maybe he could go after you for spousal support! I don't live in Ca.

Yes
I know in Colorado they don't go by how much you make but rather your expenses.
My son's father tried to go to court and get his child support lowered from $200/month. Well after they saw how much I was paying for housing, childcare, food and clothes the court raised his child support to $410 (to bad he won't work so I can get my money but he owes me about $15,000
