im trying to find the best way to have light reflect off the parabola to get the best focal point i can

try ticalc.org if u have ti calculator they have tons of programs just search for them or go to archives

Parallel light rays entering a parabaloid will all pass through the focus. Conversely, if the light source is placed at the focus, all light rays will be reflected in a tight beam of parallel rays.

This is a property of the parbola and is used in flashlights, telescopes, etc. I'm not sure what you mean by a program that shows this property.
