I have downloaded a dvd film and when I burn it on a DVD, I cannot watch the movie, it simply does not work as a DVD but I can watch the movie on my computer. How to burn a DVD film?

You need to look carefully at your DVD bay. Does it say DVD burner? This is an easy thing to overlook. Even if you have two bays, on is CD and the other may be just a player, but not a burner. You can buy one (I like the HP) and install it yourself. They are about $50. and they charge that to install it.

I am sorely tempted to say something extremely abusive.
By the way, I hope you know what you're doing is illegal?

OK finally, the answer:

get a dvd burner for one thing then....

you need to get a software that would let you burn it onto a DVD as film. (like the ones you buy)

I can only think of one at the moment and its called sonic but it is commerical.

Burn4free is free and does the same thing.

I believe there are some other free ones too but since you're into pirating I guess you'll just pirate sonic or something.
