A metabolic pathway is:
b)a sequence of reactions involved in metabolism.

Some pathways can be short, involving only 1 or 2 steps, but most are much more complex. Here is a good graphical representation. The labels are clickable links:

For the first one,
see, a metabolic pathway is usually cyclic and in some way it regenerates the accessory molecules that it has used in the metabolism...this results in a cycle.
also ur option 'b' is not clear... options 'c' n 'd' are incorrect.
metabolic pathways are in no way limited to only autotrophs..they take place in animal cells too e.g. respiration.
i'll go with option 'b'.

for the second one,
ATP is the correct answer. i.e. option 'c'.
it is the only usable form of energy with a high energy phosphate bond whose energy is utilised by the body to carry out several metabolic pathways!
