I am looking into starting a business for a project that I have been working on and I was just wondering if anyone has personal experience that they would be willing to share.

More importantly, why would you want to start one? You won't be able to offer department stores' prices, nor online merchants' breadth of selection. Both will run circles around you in terms of inventory turnover...

depends are you going to have a building? if so how much is the rent monthly? how many square feet do you need to run this effectioantly?

Where are you going to get your movies/music? Whole sale and what company are you going to partner with to get this done!

Does your building or place have shelfs? if not how many do you need? other tables and decorations?
What about a sign?

do you need a computer and programs?
what sort of insurance will your company offer to it's employees! will you have employees how much are you going to pay them and how many will work opening day?

For me to give you a full cost you need to answer and do your own research on how much this stuff cost! you may get some deals if you know of companys closing maybe you can buy there shelfs!

But i'm sure it's not cheap!
Good luck

I dont know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to tell you in general that I work at a bank and so many people that make their own buissness accounts are overdrawn all of the time, it seems like its not a good idea, they never have any money.
