Try Super Anti-Spyware. It works great and there's a free edition. I've tried Spybot Search and Destroy and it didn't the adware and spyware that Super Anti-Spyware gets. Also, don't open emails that you don't know who they're from or have attachments.

What ever you do ignore these xoftspy goons. It's a junk product with deceptive advertising. The "free trial" is merely a free scan and you have to buy the product to remove what it finds.
And it ALWAYS finds something, even if only tracking cookies.
Xoftspy, Noadware, etc are basically the same product and these guys are probably on the payroll.
Wanna buy a $30 cookie cleaner?
And whatever that bogus "antispyware2007" is, it is trying to copy the legitimate AdAware2007 name...it's probably related to the bogus "spywarebot," who tries to copy the legitimate Spybot Search and Destroy's name.
These guys (Lucky J, Gee S, Ivan Y, and Strong M) and their bogus and deceptive posts and products deserve to be kicked off here and banned.

Try running the scans in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode, reboot and then either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up.
If you cannot get it removed, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication. They will provide you with step-by-step instructions.

Have you tried search and destoy? Make sure you also download all the newest things for it, very important. You do that right in the program. If this doesnt work, find out the name of the virus, and search it on the net, I am sure there is a fix

To find a non biased review check out: http://killmyspyware.com/xoftspyse-review.html. Hopefully this will help you as much as it helped me.

Well dude if you re pretty sure that you have exhaust all means, in this case downloading all software you that you say you did, - which in most cases contributes to the problem if not very well known by the user - you can backup your files somewhere and reinstall your OS. That's the common ending of this kind of story

I am not sure you can do anything to stop it. I had this happen and it gradually shut my computer down. I had to do a complete reinstall. The suggestion I have is to back up everything that you can while you have time.
Good luck.
