Actually, the U.S. has been continuously involved in warfare all over the globe, whether war was declared officially, 'police action', or secret operations for over 100 years.

It depends on how you define a war. Congress never declared war in Vietnam or Korea. Do they count as wars? There was never a treaty to end the first Iraq war (when Saddam invades Kuwait). Technically, we have been at war with Iraq continuously since the early 1990's. Is that the same war as we are currently involved in? How do you count "peacekeeping missions", none of which are ever formally declared wars? While congress did not use the word 'War' they DID specifically authorize the use of military force to combat terrorism. Is that a declaration of war? According to wikipedia, the US has formally declared war 11 times (8 in the 1900s. Of these 6 were related to WW2 and 2 to WW1. Do you count each declaration separately?

It depends on what you consider "involvement" to be. Is it the actual condition of US troops in combat - or US diplomatic involvement as well.

Good Luck!!!
