Microsoft PowerPoint. There are different versions, probably PowerPoint 2000, 2003, XP, 2007 (I'm not sure of the names, but they Microsoft keeps putting out new versions, basically the same but with a few new bells and whistles each time.)

You probably can't get it for free, as it's from Micro$oft (part of MS Office). If you have Word and Excel, you probably have it. If not, you'll have to buy it, or do your work on a machine where it's installed (try a college or a Kinkos type place.)

The PowerPoint Viewer program is available for free so you can view presentations others have created.

Hi,

Microsoft PowerPoint will do the best job, but other software will also save presentations in PowerPoint format.

Apple's Keynote and Sun Microsystem's OpenOffice products both can save in Microsoft PowerPoint format. Neither product supports scripting via Visual Basic, however, and OpenOffice's web site says it is not reliable enough to use in a production environment.
