Hi Joanna
For my child I would prefer to choose a name that cannot be fooled about with, shortened, or converted into a nickname.
I got lucky because my parents got it right. I would never change my name.
For a girl I vote for Catherine, spelt with a "C" rather than A "K". So feminine and cosmopolitan.
Sadly some fool with no imagination will try to call her Kate.
If she's smart she gets selectively deaf.
