I want my friends to think that they are free to be themselves around me, and that they don't have to be something they're not.

I want my friends to think that I'm loyal and that they can talk to me about anything and everything. I want them to think that I'm kind hearted and a good friend!

That all depends on the friend.
As a group I just want them to see me as their friend and let the relationship and circumstances dictate what all that means.

I'd like them to think that I'm a good person. What they actually say is that although they love me for who I am, I'm too blunt, have a strange sense of humour and often talk too much.

I don't want them to think anything, I'm willing to let them think for themselves. I just want them to be honest and tell me the truth when everyone else is full of crap, and I want them to want me to do the same.
