The non-grad. Education is a good thing, but if the non-grad is above and beyond the grad, you'd be a fool to hire based solely on education.

The non-grad, unless it is for a specific skill that requires a degree, like, you know, heart surgery.
The non-grad may not have the big name on a piece of paper, but their energy and interest will make them a better employee wishing to learn your way of doing things as opposed to the non-impressive grad who is really not interested in your way and may ultimately fight to change everything for the worse instead of better.
Hey, hire me! I'm looking for a job, have a degree, and I'm interested in learning new skills!
