I thought this was a actually a pretty good signing for the Leafs, short term anyway. Later on it probably wouldn't have looked as good, when Blake's production would have dropped off. Anyways, bad luck for the Leafs. Hopefully, Blake is able to fight off Leukemia and get back to his normal life.

Wow, that's heavy. From what the article said, medical technology have come through enough to treat this form of Leukemia without interferring with the patient's normal day-to-day activities. Still sucks, but hey, considering the alternative...

It's never good to hear this sort of news. I hope Jason will get better soon so he will be able to at his fullest ability for the season and the games versus the Sens as I'm also a Sens fan but it would be sad not to see the competitveness without Jason

i know. i heard it on Leafs Lunch today. its sad but he says he hopes it will not effect his daily routine & hopes that the pill doesnt have many sideeffects. i wish him & other people around the world who have to suffer this disease best of luck & hope they can pull through this.

its sad to hear this and im a sens fan but our technoligy is pretty good now they can stop this from getting serious as long as he only take a pill each day
