posting personal information, opinions, and diatribes about yourself online, in a completely public forum....
would you want your mother to read every question/answer on Y! you've ever posted? your boss? you kids?
its been said before "never put in writing what you wouldn't want a judge to read"
isn't there some nefarious purposes that info about you could be used for?

I think everyone knows that posting ANY information about yourself over ANY public website is technically bad. But at the same time we do it. Sometimes by mistake and sometimes because we are not watching what we say. I personally wouldnt care if any read what I have said on public sites but I would care about my private conversation on like AIM.

it's sort of synonymous with be careful what you say because it could come round and bite you in the a.s.s...... I believe that no matter what you write or how hard you try to hide it somebody can and will misconstrue it..... In today's public access to things like Yahoo answers people should remember that it's access able to the Whole World. And No I personally wouldn't write something that I wouldn't want my children to be embarrassed or ashamed of.....

This is a good question. Of course, I have revealed some personal information about myself here, but I try to reveal enough to the point where someone still won't know exactly who I am.
