I'd say this will turn out to be a test of how good your friendship is with her.
On one hand, a true friend will keep a promise or commitment. On the other hand, a true friend would release her friend from this promise upon learning how unhappy it makes him.

You tried to do your friend a favor.
She obviously needs more practice in the technique of nail gel application.
Be honest with her that this will not be a good advertisement for her. It is showing to be the opposite.
Have you told her the reactions of people that have seen your nails? Maybe if she knew she would remove them from your hands and try again later- after more practice.
If she can't handle the truth then do not do this favor for her again.
Really though, if you are her friend, you'll tell her that they look bad and you need them removed. This is her livelihood we're talking about here....

Depends totally on you. If you take the stance that you can rockstar those badboys out, advertise them with a gusto for your friend because you were awesome enough to follow through with something you said you'd do, then anyone who wants to say anything will just look silly when it has the wrong effect. Or, you can act all squeamish, people will notice that and pounce!

If you're confident about your sexuality and/or in a position (ie. work) that will not suffer from you wearing nail extensions, go ahead and wear them. That way you're really doing your friend a favour and you're not harming yourself in any way - in fact, who knows what may come out of the extra attention you're sure to receive.
On the other hand, if wearing these extensions does pose a serious problem to you, don't do it. If your friend is indeed your friend, she will understand and respect your choice.

well if she did you a favor its only fair that you would return the favor. people talk a lot and they talk a lot of junk. you shouldn't be caring about what others think, just focus on the main goal of what you are doing, helping a friend. so dint be afraid of being a laughingstock, it will not bother you if you just ignore it. i wish this answer helps you out..

I really think you need to take the nails off and return the favor in some other way. I'm sure she can find a willing female to advertise for her.

Who cares if people laugh at you - it's only 2 weeks and you are helping out a friend. If you act embarrassed about it, they will make fun of you for sure. But if you deal with it with confidence and self-assurance, other people will likely find it humorous but not think much beyond that.

That's the whole point - you wear something ridiculous, women notice and ask, and you mention your friend's business. Just do it - you may meet a nice woman in the process.
