Last time I went there, I had a hard time telling who was really looking at who - the egrets or I.

I like this question.

Well, let me start by saying that my favourite wild animals are wolves and pandas. (Bears could be included, as I think they are related to pandas)

And the ones I hate the most are crocodiles and snakes.

However, when I go to the Zoo, the animals that I get more excited to see are crocodiles and snakes.
Because since they are so ugly and fearful, I guess they make more of an impression on me than wolves or pandas (I don't know if there are wolves at Zoos... I've never seen one)...

Elephants and giraffes are also great attractions.

However, to my surprise, the last time I went to the Zoo, these weren't my favourite animals.

The crocodiles were too small, and I guess the snakes just resembled... 'water hoses'...

Elephants and giraffes were okay, though...

The surprises for me were gibbons, hippopotamus and rhinoceroses (both African and Indian ryhnos).

I don't usually like primates, but I found those small jet-black soft-haired gibbons adorable. (No, I didn't touch them, but I could see their hair was soft...)

Hippopotamus and rhynos fascinated me for being very big and corpulent..
I also liked the pink colour of the hyppopotamus.

Besides of this, I enjoyed the dolphins (and sea lions) show.
I had never seen it before.
That turquoise blue atmosphere, and those tamed and docile animals had a very relaxing effect.

We still had a ride on the cable car.

It was a day well spent.

If you make faces at the different kinds of apes, the males will get highly agitated. Don't be looking at their females. Its a no no and the staff will ask you to leave the park.

It's always the flies, wasps, bees, mosquitos and gnats!
After they've had there fill the lions seem to find me tempting - I have plenty of flesh on my bones.
The hyenas only laugh at me!
- and the owls were a hoot!

I went to Sea World and it was the dolphins that seemed to be most interested in me. Possibly because I was feeding them.

I don't need to the zoo to see them but they are the idiots who dance around, trying to get the apes to notice them.

i like the little aquariums they have at the zoo with the dolphins, the whales, and especially the penguins. i also like how it's so dark and cool it is in there and how they light the fish tanks looks spectacular.

Yaks and Limas etc. Am from Southern Africa so non-Southern-African animals are more interesting for me.
