backstabbing I hate it when I find out later that someone I know was talking behind my back.

I think that backstabbing is ten times worse than a face-to-face insult, because if someone insults you to your face, it at least means that you know where the two of you stand. Not only that, but backstabbing is just COWARDLY!

backstabbing is betrayal + angry (experienced that before and all I wanna do is stay away from that person - she lost a friend)
insult in the face is more hurtful than angry
well, id say live and let live. as there's always a way to deal with ANY situations without having to backstab NOR insult people in their face.

By insulting face to face ,one who is insulted is aware and though his ego gets hurt but he has opportunity to retort back.
in case of the back-stabbing he will be completely unware. Back-stabbing surely is worst sort of human behaviour and affects much more .

Both are hurtful but we all deal with things differently. But if it's to your face you have the option of giving right back....
