Are you eating right.
You have to eat enough healthy foods to keep you and the baby healthy?
If you don't most of the nutrients will go to the baby and you wont get enough. I hope you're taking a Multi- Vitamin.
It sounds like your nutrition is lacking something.

Being extremely tired during your first trimester is totally normal. While you might not being showing just yet, your body is changing and that takes a lot on you physically as well as emotionally and mentally (which may account for the headaches). Rest as much as you can! Go to bed earlier at night. Take naps, if possible. Relax on the weekends. Don't be afraid to ask others for help -- this is not the time to be a Superwoman! That being said, be careful not to become a vegetable. Take walks in the evening or during your lunch hour. The exercise will help during labor and studies show you rest better when you exercise.
I don't remember getting headaches during my pregnancy so I'd make an appointment with you OB as soon as possible, if you don't have one already. It could be anemia, in which case you should take your pre-natal vitamins and add more iron to your diet. Cooking foods in a cast-iron skillet helps your iron intake because the iron of the skillet goes into your food -- it doesn't sound hygienic but my sister had to do this because the pre-natal vitamins made her sick. Also, because you aren't consuming caffeine, your headaches could be caffeine withdrawal and will go away with time.
Good luck and congratulations!

You describe me to a "T" right now. I am also 8 weeks along and feeling exactly the same way and God help my husband if I don't get the food that I want to eat! :)
With my first son I was very tired also and felt about the same with my second son and now this baby...but with my first son after they took some blood they found that I did have low iron and it was adding too my tiredness.
It was easily fixed by buying prenatal vitamins that had iron in them...although I have to say that it was not easy to figure out how to take those pills without throwing up. The iron was so strong my body would make me throw the pill up. But what I discovered was that if I ate a few crackers and then took the pill right before going to sleep I kept it down and had no problems except for a bit of an irony taste in my mouth in the mornings.
Your symptoms seem pretty normal...even the headaches - you're body is going through a lot of hormonal changes but at the same time it NEVER hurts to talk to your dr about it. So on your next visit ask to have your blood tested or just go and buy prenatal vitamins with iron in it and see if that helps you after about 2 weeks.
It takes a while for the iron to really get in there and help. Don't know why. Hope this has helped! Congratualtions on your new little one and make sure you are getting plenty of sleep and plenty of water! Lots of WATER! :)

That is very common for 8 weeks pregnant. Your doctor will check you for anemia during pregnancy. If you need extra iron he will prescribe it. If you aren't anemic then you will be getting plenty of iron from your prenatals. I wasn't anemic when I was pregnant, but I was tired, grumpy and had headaches. There is nothing wrong, you are just pregnant.

My daughter is now 19 weeks and she had a difficult first 3/4 months - its normal. However as in all health problems you doctor or midwife are the experts so if in doubt ask. I am sure in a couple of weeks you will be fine. My daughter is now blooming and feels fine, her partner felt a kick for the first time last night. You have got all this to look forward to, enjoy it.
Good luck

This just sounds normal to me! I was exactly the same when I was pregnant, I felt terrible all the time but when I had my blood tests I wasn't anaemic. Nobody tells you you're going to feel like that, do they?! Lol! You'll have routine blood tests done anyway so I don't think it's anything to worry about for the time being.

You maybe, but its also very common for the first few weeks of pregnancy. Take a tyenol and take a nap. It does great better. Take your prenatals to ward of anemia.
