I have realized that taking early retirement from my job had unexpected consequences. I babysit an infant grandchild, as I had planned, and enjoy it very much. I had envisioned a permanent vacation while I was relatively young (age 57) and healthy. Evidently it's true that nature does abhor a vacuum! Now people are approaching me with job offers. Some are interesting and some require more time and energy than I want to invest. I've always held to the "Go with the flow" philosophy of life. I'm a Christian and know that God does open doors for us, and I pray about everything.

Have you faced a similar situation? Any advice you'd like to offer?

God does abhor a vacuum, haven't you noticed the fallen leaves laying around, the dust, and for cryin out loud just look at all that dirt. Not on my carpet ! she sez. Those doors that are opened usually have a butler arriving shortly to show the way -- just go with the flow.

I'm almost 52, I had to go on retirement disability last year. I can't walk very far or stand very long. I have good days & bad days & I don't know which it will be until the morning. I would like to find something (legitimate) I could do on the computer part time at home. It would have to be a flexible schedule, because if I have a bad day, I'm not doing much of anything. I was very depressed for about a year (I've worked all my life), but now I do enjoy having free time. All I can say to you is- don't take on too much. Take the time to enjoy your life.

I'm 51 and have very bad allergies/sensitivities (esp fragrance) that make it hard for me to work in the 'real world' around people. I've been offered jobs now, that I'd love to take, but can't or I get physically ill. I do ok If I'm careful about what situations I get in. I visit a nursing home and often help out there, I'm a member of the Humane Society, and Chaplin for our senior group at church. Look at the opportunities you are being offered and see if some of them would fit into your life now. If you do volunteer activities, you can usually set your hrs and how much you'd like to do. Just do what you'd enjoy.

relies upon on the form you view a vacuum according to probability? In deep area, there are only some molecules/atoms around. In each and every cubic meter according to probability countless atoms. So even many easy years from the closest planet/famous individual and so on, nevertheless there is remember floating around. The stress gets decrease and decrease (on an inverse logarithmic scale) yet won't in any respect honestly attain 0. Having worked for a time in an marketplace that makes use of extremely low vacuum pressures, i can vouch for the shown fact that even although no longer person-friendly you attempt, "nature" will locate a thank you to the two push countless the outdoors molecules into the chamber, or face as much as all tries to get the molecules interior the chamber to the outdoors! in spite of this, on a sub-atomic point, the honestly quantity ccupied by employing the protons/neutrons/electrons and so on is amazingly small on the difficulty of the scale of the outer electron shell. as a result, you communicate only approximately all the universe is vacuum, broken sporadically by employing sub-atomic debris. So, on a macro point, then i assume there is vacuum that nature won't in any respect fill, on a time-honored point there is not any vacuum that nature won't fill and on the first, person-friendly experience point, then according to probability - it relies upon how some distance between person atoms you planned to be a vacuum!

Do any of the "doors" present you with part time opportunities to help others? Could any of the jobs in which you don't have interest be someone you know would want? Perhaps that is why they are being presented to you.
