We had one when I was a little a girl. We made it ourselves and it really only amounted to a few sheets of plywood nailed into a big walnut tree in our backyard, but to us it was a pirate ship, a fort out in the wild west, and tropical island.

yes my dad and i made one
it didn't have walls or a roof or anything
but it had a built in bench and stuff
