Pluto is a very dark, cold planet. If life were discovered on Pluto, what kind of animal might live there?

Probably something like a fungus, or slime mold. The catch is, it would be adapted to cryogenic cold so well it couldn't possibly adapt to Earth--it would just vaporize.

Odds are its natural habitat would be "swimming" in liquid hydrogen or helium, and taking in methane and oxygen in their solid forms. I'd even hazard a guess that its main senses would be electo-magnetic since oxygen becomes magnetic as it liquifies and solidifies.

But yeah, there's no *way* we'd be able to take samples of this organism home alive. The thing would likely use liquid hydrogen the way we use liquid water. Or something.

We all perceive 'living conditions' as those seen on earth which is a mis-conception.
If at all life was discovered on pluto the kind of 'animal' (assuming it breathes) that lives there is the one that is breathes nitrogen and survives only below -100 degree celsius.
Stays in an ocean of methane and lives for half pluto year.
Its way of life is as varied as our imagination.
As simple as that!

Life on Pluto would be the same as life on earth, just adapted to conditions.
Probably carniverous, because there is no plant life and simple celled because there is very little heat , water , or light.

I sincerely doubt there could be an animal on Pluto... Animals need to eat. They either eat plants or other animals (who in turn eat plants). So animals cannot exist without plants. And plants cannot exist without sunlight, which is something Pluto seriously lacks.
